WORD OF GOD 1 तिमथी 6:6 - भक्ति से अवश्य बड़ा लाभ होता है, किन्तु केवल उसी को, जो अपनी धन-सम्पत्ति से सन्तुष्ट रहता है। 1 Timothy 6:6 - Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment; 1 तिमथी 6:9-10 - जो लोग धन बटोरना चाहते हैं, वे प्रलोभन और फन्दे में पड़ जाते हैं और ऐसी मूर्खतापूर्ण तथा हानिकर वासनाओं के शिकार बनते हैं, जो मनुष्यों को पतन और विनाश के गर्त में ढकेल देती हैं; क्योंकि धन का लालच सभी बुराईयों की जड़ है। इसी लालच में पड़ कर कई लोग विश्वास के मार्ग से भटक गये और उन्होंने बहुत-सी यन्त्रणाएँ झेलीं। 1 Timothy 6:9-10 - But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains. इब्रानियों 13:5 - आप लोग धन का लालच न करें। जो आपके पास है, उस से सन्तुष्ट रहें; क्योंकि ईश्वर ने स्वयं कहा है - मैं तुम को नहीं छोडूँगा। मैं तुम को कभी नहीं त्यागूँगा। Hebrews 13:5 - Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:1-5 - हम जानते हैं कि जब यह तम्बू, पृथ्वी पर हमारा यह घर, गिरा दिया जायेगा, तो हमें ईश्वर द्वारा निर्मित एक निवास मिलेगा। वह एक ऐसा घर है, जो हाथ का बना नहीं है और अनन्त काल तक स्वर्ग में बना रहेगा। इसलिए हम इस शरीर में कराहते रहते और उसके ऊपर अपना स्वर्गिक निवास धारण करने की तीव्र अभिलाषा करते हैं, बशर्ते हम नंगे नहीं, बल्कि वस्त्र पहने पाये जायें। हम इस तम्बू में रहते समय भार से दबते हुए कराहते रहते हैं; क्योंकि हम बिना पुराना उतारे नया धारण करना चाहते हैं, जिससे जो मरणशील है, वह अमर जीवन में विलीन हो जाये। ईश्वर ने स्वयं उस उद्देश्य के लिए हमें गढ़ा है और अग्रिम के रूप में पवित्र आत्मा प्रदान किया है। 2 Corinthians 5:1-5 - For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling— if indeed, when we have taken it off we will not be found naked. For while we are still in this tent, we groan under our burden, because we wish not to be unclothed but to be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
