Elias returns home to celebrate his birthday with his deeply religious family. But when his boyfriend Jasper suddenly appears at the door as a surprise, the truth Elias has been hiding can no longer stay hidden. Caught between the boy he loves and the family he fears disappointing, Elias is forced to confront the secret life he has built between Amsterdam and his conservative hometown. After studying fiction and color grading at the University of the Arts Utrecht, he worked in post-production before moving into directing.
