Backyard Plane Spotting ✈ Welcome to another Backyard Plane Spotting video! Quite a variety of aircraft in this one. Lots of helicopters, DC-3's, a Catalina, warbirds and quite a lot of heavies too, though be it high up in the sky at around 6000-8000ft. I planned to create a 10 minute compilation, but, ah well .. 23 minutes haha! A lot of warbirds and helicopters in this video are based at Ardmore Airport, just a ten minute drive from here. If you want me to go out and do a day of spotting there, let me know! Also based at Ardmore are Betsy, the DC-3 (ZK-DAK) and New Zealand's only airworthy Catalina (ZK-PBY)!
