Loch Thom - History Documentary

Loch Thom is located within the Inverclyde area of Scotland. It is currently a reservoir that supplies drinking water to the town of Greenock and it's surrounding area. In the past, it was used to provide water power for industry. The construction of Loch Thom and the Greenock Cut was key to empowering the local industrial revolution. Loch Thom is a local landmark with many hiking and walking trails. The Loch is also a very popular fishing spot. During the filming, we were lucky enough to witness the loch being partially drained to allow for maintenance and improvements. This is probably the lowest the water has been since the loch was constructed. It allowed us to get some truly unique views and footage.
