*One Last Dance* is a haunting Halloween ballad about love that refuses to let go—and the dead who know when it must. For a year and a day, a grieving man has returned to the grave of the woman he loved. But when the clock strikes midnight on Hallowe’en, she rises to answer him. He asks for one kiss. She refuses. Instead, she offers him one last dance beneath the Hallowe’en moon. As the wind plays a fiddle tune through the churchyard, her winding sheet becomes a gown, the mist rises around the graves, and for one brief turn around the yew tree, she is warm again. But before dawn, she gives him a warning: grief cannot bring her back. If he spends his life mourning among the graves, death will eventually put him beside her—but it will not reunite them. "I'm not here beneath this stone, I'm not down in the ground..." Inspired by the atmosphere and imagery of traditional British ghost ballads such as *“The Unquiet Grave,”* One Last Dance turns an old folk theme into a Halloween song about mourning, mortality, and the painful act of letting someone go. Sometimes loving the dead means choosing to keep living. 🎃 *One Last Dance* A Berean Fruit Halloween song If you enjoyed the song, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who loves old ballads, ghost stories, folk music, and songs for the darker side of Halloween. #OneLastDance #HalloweenMusic #HalloweenSong #GhostBallad #GothicMusic #DarkFolk #FolkBallad #GhostStory #SpookyMusic #GothicRomance #Halloween #TraditionalBallad #TheUnquietGrave #DarkBallad #BereanFruit
