Mental suffering lives almost entirely in imagined futures. The mind constantly projects problems into “later” and it tells you that something needs to happen in order for you to finally be at peace. But that very future story is where fear, uncertainty, and pressure are coming from. It creates the problem… and then promises the solution in the same place. Many spiritual seekers fall into this trap where they are waiting for a future moment of awakening or arrival. As if freedom is something that will happen to you one day.....But that “one day” is still just a thought.
