Diversity and Evolution in Asteraceae, the World's Largest Plant Family

Dr. Jennifer Mandel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Memphis. Research in the Mandel Lab centers around understanding the ecological and evolutionary processes that give rise to plant biodiversity. The research uses the Asteracee family as a model and integrates comparative genomics, populat-on genetics, and phylogenetics. This seminar was presented on March 7th 2024 as part of the Horticultural Sciences Spring 2024 Seminar Series.
