The Ones Who Serve

Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." There are hands that nobody sees There are hearts that quietly give Some carry the weight for others So the work of God can live Phoebe served the saints with love A helper to many, even me Paul called her a sister in Christ A servant for His glory Not seeking our own Not lifting ourselves We look to the needs of another And follow where Jesus leads We are the ones who serve The hands and feet of Christ Lifting up the weak and broken Giving our lives Not looking to our own interests But to the needs of others In humility we follow Jesus We are sisters, we are brothers Priscilla and Aquila opened Their home for the church to meet They risked their lives for Paul Because love was more than words could be And Paul remembered Mark Saying, “He is helpful to me” Every servant has a purpose Every faithful deed God sees No work is too small When it's done for the Lord No life is forgotten When it's laid before Him We are the ones who serve The hands and feet of Christ Lifting up the weak and broken Giving our lives Not looking to our own interests But to the needs of others In humility we follow Jesus We are sisters, we are brothers In humility, value others Above yourselves Do not look only to your own interests But to the interests of others Jesus, You showed us the way You came not to be served But to serve And give Your life We are the ones who serve The hands and feet of Christ Lifting up the weak and broken Giving our lives Not looking to our own interests But to the needs of others For the glory of Jesus We will serve Him all our lives Whatever you do, do it for the Lord Whatever you do, do it for the Lord Serve one another in love And let Jesus be glorified
