The stars can only gaze back

Thank you ‪@Meta_Crystal‬ for helping with the song! “The stars can only gaze back, so why keep looking?” “Because beauty doesn’t equal utility.” “But it truly doesn’t help in any way.” “True, but if you think back, the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen probably weren’t the most important. Smelling a flower isn’t a key part of keeping you alive, and yet it’s nice. A beautiful mountain range would have held life perfectly fine if it were flat yet, its stands tall nonetheless. So why try to quantify the worth of something beautiful by looking at the use it carries? Isn’t that’s kind of nihilistic? An object or moment’s worth is completely decided by the importance you give it. And maybe that’s the point. Things don’t have to last forever to be worth experiencing. A sunset disappears, a flower eventually wilts, and even the stars won’t look the same forever. That doesn’t make them any less beautiful while they’re here. So keep taking in the world around you, and keep looking at the stars, Sure maybe they can only gaze back but does that really matter if it matters to you? It doesn’t have to matter to anybody else as long as it makes you happy.” -me 2026 #prod #dnb #gamecube #music
