Robot McMonster

Robots. Monsters. Drive-ins. B movies. A Java Jel song recorded live in fall ’95 down in Joe Kelly's basement. It never saw the light of day – until now. Dedicated to Robert McMullen, Java's buddy and illustrator. Steve Gelsi played bass. Joe Kelly played drums. Dominic Cordisco on guitar. Recorded live to Tascam Portastudio four-track cassette. Mastered by Suburban Elvis Recording. Music and lyrics by Java Jel © 2026 all rights reserved. Video made by Dominic Cordisco. Made entirely by human hand. No AI-generated material. Footage from Robot Monster (1953) and other public domain films and drive-in intermission ads – all images sourced from the Internet Archive and Prelinger Archives. Compilation and editing © 2026 Dominic Cordisco. Outro music: "Forbidden Zone" courtesy of Tom Hannon. Like Java said, it’s a month of bad Saturday afternoon television that we used to watch as kids all rolled up into one video.
