In this webinar, Zoë Lenkiewicz of Global Waste Lab facilitates a discussion on the viability of plastics recovery models among practitioners and policy actors. Often seen as a technical issue, viability is also shaped by revenue models, market access, links with informal and municipal systems, and adaptive capacity.
Webinar 1 in a 3-part series explores how to build plastics recovery models that work in constrained contexts, featuring two enterprise case studies and a wider systems view.
The session examines what is commercially viable, what still needs support, and implications for grant design and programme strategy.
The panel includes:
• Christian Mang'eli, Mr Green Africa (Kenya)
• John Adelegan, RiverRecycle (Ghana)
• David Ongare, Kenya National Environment Management Authority
