A CALL TO THE 2026 SOLEMN ASSEMBLY THE CUP AND THE CROSS - The Inner Acceptance and Outward Reflection of His Will Brethren, we have come again to that sacred moment of the year when the Lord calls us into a Solemn Assembly. It is a divinely appointed time in which He desires to set us apart, gain our undivided attention, and draw us into the depths of His inner workings. As the Potter, He calls us so He may remould our clay. As the Refiner’s Fire, He summons us to purify our gold. As the Master Sculptor, He invites us so He may shape us back into His original design. And as the Finisher, He draws us near so He may perfect us in His will. This is the moment where heaven bends low, where the Spirit broods, where alignment takes place, and where men and women are refashioned into vessels fit for His purpose. Theme Exposition This year’s theme, “The Cup and the Cross – The Inner Acceptance and Outward Reflection of His Will,” is far more than a theme; it is a revelation of God’s deepest desire for us. It is a call to embrace the cup of His will, even when we do not fully understand its depth or content. Many times, the cross becomes difficult because the cup has been rejected. And whenever a man rejects the cup, he will surely miss the cross — and ultimately, the glory that comes after the cross. Our Lord and Saviour’s perfect example in Gethsemane will stand before us as a holy burden in this meeting. His words, “Nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will” (Matthew 26:39), will confront our reluctance, melt our resistance, and summon us into the place of inward surrender and outward obedience. A Holy Summons Brethren, this is not merely another gathering. It is a divine moment. A sacred interruption. A holy summons. We encourage you to begin preparing your hearts for this meeting.
