My Bonsai Avatar Grove, Part 1, The Bonsai Zone, Sept 2020

After an update to the plant room and my bonsai, I begin to prune the Avatar Grove after a full summer of growth. My Avatar Grove is a miniature version of an old growth Cedar forest near Port Renfrew in British Columbia, Canada. The trees used in the forest are Eastern White Cedars of Thuja occidentalis. I created the models from scratch in my spare time and it took about three years to get the models accurate. I compiled the video last year for the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. The renders of the models were used for illustrations in a book.
