EXPLORING THE FREE METHODIST WAY | Christ-Compelled Multiplication

What does it actually mean for followers of Jesus to multiply? As Grassroots explores the five core values of the Free Methodist Way, Jeff begins with “Christ-Compelled Multiplication.” But multiplication isn’t about filling seats or growing an organization. It begins with Jesus. Looking at Luke 4, Matthew 28, and Romans 12, Jeff traces a movement from Jesus’ purpose to our mission and ultimately to the kind of people that mission should produce. Jesus was led by the Spirit, proclaimed good news, and responded to broken people with compassion. He then commissioned his followers to go with his authority and presence and make disciples who make disciples. But the question becomes personal: Who is God calling you to disciple? True multiplication should produce more than numbers. If Christ is being multiplied among us, his character should become increasingly visible through our love, hospitality, humility, grace, peace, and compassion. Consider who God has already placed within your sphere of influence and what following Jesus alongside them could look like.
