Don't panic! In this video, we take on a 2015 Mercedes-Benz A-Class (W176) suffering from a massive network cascade failure caused by a tricky wheel speed sensor issue. The customer also reported heavy steering feel, which is directly tied to the Electronic Power Steering (EPS) losing wheel speed signal inputs from the ESP module. 🚗 The Diagnostic Journey: Initial Fault: Current fault code for the Left Rear (LH Rear) wheel speed sensor (plus a stored history code for the Right Rear). Initial Swap Test: Swapped rear sensors side-to-side. The fault was intermittent and took a long test drive to return—ultimately setting for the LH Rear again. Scope Verification: Captured oscilloscope waveforms from both wheel speed sensors to confirm signal integrity and check if the wheel bearing magnetic encoder ring was intact. The Twist: Swapped sensors one more time to rule out loose terminal tension/fretting at the connector. The fault finally moved to the opposite side!
