Hidden away in the heart of Covent Garden is one of London’s most colourful, quirky and stylish afternoon teas.
In this video, I visit Brigit’s Bakery to find out whether its French-inspired take on the traditional British afternoon tea really deserves to be called one of the coolest in London.
At around £40 per person, it is also considerably cheaper than many of the capital’s famous five-star hotel afternoon teas, but does that mean compromising on quality?
From colourful sandwiches and savouries to scones, cakes, macarons and beautifully presented pastries, I’ll take you through the full experience before giving my honest verdict.
But Brigit’s is about much more than just the food. We’ll also look at the story behind the bakery, its French roots, the stylish Covent Garden setting and the famous afternoon tea bus tours that have become one of the brand’s biggest attractions.
Can this fun, fashionable bakery really compete with London’s grand luxury hotels — while offering something completely different?
Let’s find out.
If you enjoy the video, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, and let me know which London afternoon tea I should review next.
