TasRail paper/freight train 131/135 Devonport TAS

A rare sight for trainspotters in Tasmania, due to a locomotive shortage in Burnie the afternoon 31 paper train from Burnie to Boyer and the evening 35 container train from Burnie to Brighton were combined to make one long train, entering Devonport on 26/07/26 at 14:16, hauled by TR class diesel locomotive 02(leading) with DQ class diesel electric locomotive 2009 and TR’s 12 and 10 following close behind. This does occasionally happen as sometimes locomotives break down and have to be switched out and this can involve a locomotive in Burnie being sent to fill in for another locomotive elsewhere while repairs are being carried out on the locomotive that it’s temporarily replacing.
