-History: Horthy Miklós katonája vagyok is a Hungarian patriotic song about Miklós Horthy. Miklós Horthy was the regent of Hungary from 1920 until 1944. Before Horthy became the regent of the newly independent Hungarian state, he served as an Austro-Hungarian admiral during ww1. When Horthy tried to have Hungary exit ww2, he was captured and held hostage for this reason by the Germans. After being released in 1949, Horthy contacted portuguese diplomats which whom he had close ties with back from his days as regent of Hungary.
