I fancied a quiet night by the sea, so I headed to Studland Peninsula in Dorset. The original plan was simple: follow the harbour, spend some time around Little Sea, then return along Studland Bay before finding a quiet place to camp for the night. The day didn’t quite unfold as expected. Along the way I came across old fire pits, a smouldering fire being dealt with by rangers, and far more litter than I had anticipated. What began as a peaceful coastal walk slowly became something a little different, with several litter picks changing both my route and the pace of the day. This film follows the journey from the Sandbanks Ferry, around the harbour, through the woodland at Little Sea, across the dunes and finally to a quiet night beside the beach before the walk home the following morning. There is very little narration. The aim is simply to share an ordinary day outdoors, allowing the scenery, natural sounds and atmosphere to tell most of the story. If you enjoy slower-paced outdoor films, welcome to OurScapes.
