OVERCOMERS Project | Closer Than A Brother

OVERCOMERS Project | Closer Than A Brother I almost didn't get another morning. Jesus intervened before an overdose finished what I had started, and I have been trying to understand that kind of love ever since. For a long time I went back and forth on which denomination would let me honor him more. I prayed. I argued with the quiet. I waited. The answer that finally came was steady, not loud..He wants me Catholic. The rosary has been part of that road, in my memory and in the slow work of being made softer. This song is that story, set next to Saint Dismas, the thief on the right. He confessed what he deserved, asked to be remembered, and heard Jesus say, "Today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). I don't compare myself to a saint. I only know mercy met me the same way: late, undeserved, and real. If you are still in the middle of that question, keep asking him. Jesus answers. Luke 23:39-43 "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." #catholic #testimony #christianmusic
