This is one of those abilities that is easy to overlook, but it can be extremely useful for aggro control, emergency escapes, and charm recovery. Trickster's Misdirection Ability Activation ID: 2253 Refresh Time: 30 seconds Applies a defensive proc buff with 1 charge When struck, it creates a decoy in your place Teleports you backward a short distance Transfers your target's hate to the decoy Lowers your own hate I also show how I use it as part of an emergency re-charm macro with an assigned Extended Target slot. Example macro /xtar 20 /pause 32, /alt activate 2253 /timer 280 /pause 10, /doability Over Channel /cast 14 In this setup: /xtar 20 targets the charmed mob assigned to Extended Target slot 20. /alt activate 2253 activates Trickster's Misdirection. /pause 32 gives the AA roughly 3.2 seconds to finish casting. /timer 280 adds a visual cooldown to the social button. /doability Over Channel activates Over Channel before the recharm. /cast 14 casts the Charm spell I currently have memorized in spell gem 14. Your own spell gem number, pauses, and Extended Target slot may be different, so adjust the macro to match your setup. If you play an Enchanter in EverQuest Legends, especially if you use Charm regularly, don't sleep on Trickster's Misdirection.
