In this episode, I explore some of Puri’s most popular places, experience the local food, spend time by the sea, and return to the Shree Jagannath Temple for one of its most fascinating and important rituals. I begin the day by visiting the Blue Flag Beach, Puri, followed by one of Odisha’s much-loved street-food combinations — Dahi Vada Aloo Dum. From there, I head back to the Jagannath Temple and spend some time exploring the temple premises, its surroundings, gardens and the atmosphere within the temple complex. Later, I spend some peaceful moments at Swargadwar Beach, enjoying the sea and the beautiful coastal surroundings of Puri. But the highlight of this episode comes before my return journey — I visit Jagannath Temple once again to witness the Dhwaja Parivartan, the traditional flag changing ceremony at the Jagannath Temple. It is a fascinating ritual and an important part of the daily traditions associated with Lord Jagannath and the temple. Finally, after spending another memorable day exploring Puri, I pack up and begin my return journey.
