The structure of gods in folk beliefs is based on the traditional monarchy regime of the emperor. It has its own set of divine governance system with fine division of labor and tight organization. At first, the Jade Emperor was the supreme ruler in charge of the Three Realms. There were two official departments, the civil service and the military service. The military service official system was divided into two branches: the "information system" and the "military system". The latter includes heaven soldiers (36 Tiangang or generals), earth soldiers (72 earth evils), and five battalions of god soldiers, which are responsible for the combat defense of the Yin and Yang realms. If the Heavenly Soldiers and Earth Soldiers, collectively referred to as the "Divine Army", are the Central Army, then the Five Battalions of the Divine Soldiers are the local defense forces. The folks believe that the five battalions of god soldiers are basically recruited by "lone souls and wild ghosts" and trained after being recruited. The gods are responsible for management. If they have poor morals in private, they will also be punished. And these magic soldiers still retain the habit of human beings, so after the mission is completed, the temple will "reward the army", and "reward the army" on the twenty-sixth day of each month; and the "recovery" is a holiday for mankind.
