We leave Nafplio behind and head south into the Peloponnese — past the brooding silhouette of the Castle of Argos and into landscapes that feel like they've barely changed in centuries. Rocky hillsides, olive groves, and the slow unfolding of the southern Mani. This leg of our Greece journey takes us through some of the country's most historically significant — and least crowded — corners. We explore the Venetian sea fortress at Methoni, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in the Mediterranean. We walk the shores of Pylos, overlooking the vast natural harbour of Navarino Bay, where one of history's most decisive naval battles was fought in 1827. And we take time to simply sit with the landscape — because in the Peloponnese, the history has a way of seeping through the ground. Greece rewards the traveller who slows down. The food, the light, the weight of the past — it all adds up. This is part of our ongoing series travelling through Greece. More to come. #Greece #Peloponnese #Methoni #Pylos #NavarinoBay #Nafplio #CastleOfArgos #GreekHistory #TravelGreece #MediterraneanTravel #HistoricalSites #SlowTravel #GreeceTravel #VisitGreece #TravelVlog #EuropeTravel #AncientHistory #Mani #GreeceVlog #HiddenGreece
