Checking 9 Colonies for Queens | 8 to Prepare for Winter

I checked nine colonies for queen status as I work through fall preparations at one of my bee yards. By the end of the visit, I had eight colonies, three of them need help preparing for winter. Six of the colonies are in this video, I had camera issues on the the last three. You’ll see how I assess the colonies and decide what still needs attention. In my yard, a brick standing up on a hive means the winter prep is not finished. Once the work is done, I’ll change the brick’s position.
