EP.9 Raid on Lombok | We Cleared Bali—but Lost Our Newest Frigate | Sea Power

Task Group 77.3 returns to the Lombok Strait for a major operation against Soviet forces occupying Bali. At the request of the Indonesian government, our mission is to clear the surrounding waters, destroy enemy coastal gun batteries, and eliminate any surface or submarine threats before future U.S. Marine Corps landings can begin. The operation quickly develops into a combined surface, subsurface, and shore-bombardment battle. TG 77.3 pushes into the strait, engages Soviet warships, hunts for submarines, and brings naval gunfire against enemy positions on Bali. The mission is ultimately completed, but victory comes at a heavy cost. USS Brooke, a new addition to the task group, is lost during her very first operation with us. Bali has been cleared for the next phase of the campaign—but Task Group 77.3 leaves Lombok Strait with one fewer ship. #SeaPower #PacificStrike85 #RaidOnLombok #NavalCombat #TaskForceMode #NavalWarfare#Ryu1940 Join the discord and chat about naval gaming:   / discord
