We Have This Treasure

WE HAVE THIS TREASURE 2 Corinthians 4:7 | Matthew 6:19–21 | Romans 1:16 | Matthew 5:14–16 | Ephesians 1:17–18 Do you know what you carry as a believer? Paul declares, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels…” (2 Corinthians 4:7). The treasure is the knowledge of the glory of God revealed through Jesus Christ. God has placed something extraordinary inside ordinary, fragile vessels. The question is not simply, “Do I have the treasure?” but “Do I know what I carry?” The Gospel is more than information about God—it reveals God. When God shines the light of His truth into our hearts, our understanding changes, our perspective changes, and ultimately, our lives change. True knowing produces true seeing, and true seeing produces transformed living. In this study, we explore: • What is the treasure God has placed within us? • Why is the knowledge of God more valuable than earthly treasure? • How does knowing Christ change the way we see ourselves and the world? • What does our treasure reveal about where our heart is? • Why does God place divine treasure in fragile human vessels? • What responsibility comes with carrying His light? • How can our lives reflect Christ clearly rather than distort His image? • Why must we refuse to hide the treasure we carry? Jesus said, “Ye are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) God shines in us so that His glory can shine through us. We may be ordinary vessels, but what God has placed inside us is extraordinary. The vessel is not the treasure. Christ is. So ask yourself: Do you know what you carry?
