LUMPIANG SARIWA | How to make Fresh Lumpia | With Best Lumpiang Sariwa Sauce | Pinoy Simple Cooking Sharing another way to make Lumpiang Sariwa and Lumpiang Sariwa sauce. This sauce is the best I must say it is to die for. I love it so much and happy to share it. Lumpiang Sariwa or Fresh Lumpia/Fresh Spring Roll is regarded as the most basic type of lumpia in Filipino cuisine. It consists of a mixture of different vegetables with ground pork, chicken or beef and tofu and vegetables wrapped in a thin egg crêpe (also called egg roll wrapper). Here is how to make Lumpiang Sariwa: Lumpiang Sariwa Recipe: Ingredients: For Filling: 1 tbsp oil 2 tbsp butter 1 mediun onion chopped 7 cloves garlic minced 1 cups mushroom (8oz) chopped 1 lb shrimp - shelled, deveined and chopped 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 2 large carrots cut into strips 2 large potatoes cut into strips 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1/2 tsp sugar 2 cups shredded cabbage 2 cups chopped fried tofu 2 tbsp minced parsley Lettuce Leaves For Lumpiang Sariwa Sauce: 2 cups water 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp minced garlic 2 tbsp peanut butter 2 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp water 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Directions: For Sauce: 1. In a pot, over medium low heat, add water and brown sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves 2. Add soy sauce, garlic and peanut butter. Bring to boil and cook for 3 mins. 3. Lower the heat then add cornstarch mixture. Let it cook until sauce thickens stirring continously. For Filling: 1. Heat oil over medium high heat 2. Add onion, cook until translucent. 3. Add galirc, cook until lightly brown 4. Add butter, let it melt 5. Add mushroom 6. Add shrimp, salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp turns pink 7. Add carrots, potatoes, oyster sauce, sugar and water. Let it simmer ofr 3 mins or until vegetables are slightly tender. 8. Add cabbage. Let it cook until cabbage is slightly tender. 9. Add chopped fried tofu and minced parsley. Mix gently. To wrap: 1. On an eggroll wrap, put about 2 tbsp filling on the wrapper. 2. Put lettuce on top facing down 3. Fold the bottom then fold in the sides. Flip carefully. 4.
