Baiona is a historic seaside town located in the Rías Baixas region of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. It’s known for its medieval heritage, Atlantic beaches, coastal promenades, and excellent seafood. Baiona is one of the most iconic destinations in southern Galicia.

On March 1st, 1493, the caravel La Pinta arrived in Baiona’s harbor, bringing the first news of the discovery of America to Europe.
This historic moment is celebrated every year during the Arribada Festival, a medieval reenactment declared an International Tourist Attraction.
