Recorded on July 24, 1998, at the Library of Congress, this historic exhibition features legendary teacher Hugh McGraw leading a group of over 50 Sacred Harp singers from the South and Mid-Atlantic.
Originally organized by the American Folklife Center in conjunction with the "Religion and the Founding of the American Republic" exhibition, this footage—digitized from the original Library of Congress tapes—is being made publicly available for the first time.
