Did BRICS really overtake G7? BRICS Summit 2026 is being hosted by India
in New Delhi on 12 and 13 September, and the internet has already decided
the answer. The truth behind global power is more complicated, and this
video breaks down all of it.

The BRICS vs G7 debate is everywhere right now. On purchasing power
parity, BRICS is at roughly 36.8 percent of world GDP against G7's 29
percent. But on nominal GDP, G7 is at 52 trillion dollars against BRICS
at 31 trillion. On GDP per capita, the gap is almost six times. All three
numbers are true at the same time, and only one of them is being reported.
More importantly, economic power is not the same thing as global power.
Institutional power is what lets one bloc impose sanctions and tariffs on
another, and that still sits almost entirely with the G7. This video
covers where BRICS actually stands, what it has built to fix that, and
why India refuses to treat this as a two-camp fight at all.
