Whatever is in the soil will eventually be seen. In the final week of Say Less, Pastor James unpacks John 15:5 — "I am the Vine, you are the branches." Jesus isn't asking you to do more or be better. He's asking you to be rooted. Two questions that will change how you live this week: 1. Where are my roots? 2. What is my fruit? If you're connected to the vine, you don't have to worry about the fruit of the flesh. You just have to make sure the root is right. This isn't behavior modification. You can't duct tape apples onto a lemon tree. Is it the enemy or is it the inner me? Do you have a sin problem or a love problem? Your roots change, your fruit changes. Having a form of godliness but denying its power — have nothing to do with such people. (2 Timothy 3:5) Being rooted in Christ means: 1. Be real with Jesus 2. Be committed to Jesus 3.
