Southern 4501 - Steaming for the 4th of July Weekend!

The week of 4th of July, I found myself in Chattanooga, TN to help photograph my sister's traveling softball team's games. I found out that the nearby Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum just so happened to be planning to steam that weekend. You can probably figure out what happened from there. Yes, for 2 days I chased TVRM's Missionary Ridge Local train, which was powered by the one and only Southern 4501. Hopefully the famous Mikado needs no introduction, and she put on a great show throughout the weekend! Please enjoy a half hour of the sight and sound of Southern steam on the Tennessee Valley Railroad! Time-stamps: 7/3/2020: (0:03) - The train backs out of the East Chattanooga shops as 4501 shoves the train towards the museum for the first trip of the day (2:08) - The 1st of 4 excursions for the day heads west over the Tunnel Blvd overpass (3:00) - After the tour at the west end of the route, the train heads back east towards the museum at Stephens St (5:34) - The train boards at the museum as a westbound NS train passes in the background (6:27) - The 2nd trip of the day departs the museum grounds (8:59) - The 2nd trip rolls eastbound through the tunnel (10:50) - The westbound 3rd trip of the day crosses the bridge over the CSX Chattanooga Sub (12:11) - With some whistling, the 3rd trip crosses eastbound over the Chickamauga Creek bridge (13:10) - With plenty of stack talk, the 4th and final trip rounds into Hunziker Curve (14:49) - The final eastbound trip of the day comes through the tunnel and into Hunziker Curve again 7/4/2020: (16:45) - The 1st trip of the day round into Stephens St (17:46) - With lots of whistle, the 1st return trip crosses the Chickamauga Creek bridge (19:09) - Before taking my ride on the 2nd trip of the day, 4501 rests at the museum depot (20:25) - Turntable demonstration with SOU 4501! (24:42) - 4501 comes off the museum wye (25:40) - The 3rd westbound comes into Hunziker Curve, once again with plenty of stack talk! (27:13) - The 3rd eastbound comes around Hunziker Curve (28:22) - The final trip of the day, also my last time catching the train, thunders out of the tunnel (29:17) - Camera under the train!
