DEPARTMENT OF RADIOLOGY (SKMCH&RC, PESHAWAR): PROVIDING INTERNATIONALLY RECONGNIZED RADIOLOGY SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE OF KPK The Radiology Department at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Peshawar fulfills all radiological needs of the patients. To cater to the growing number of breast cancer cases in the region, the Peshawar Hospital is equipped with the latest ultrasound and mammography machines operated by female staff to help locate even the minutest of tumors. There are various other diagnostic tools such as such X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, MR, and CT to help scan a broad range of tumors and diseases. The Hospital also houses a PET-CT machine, which is essential in the diagnoses, treatment and monitoring of cancer. SKMCH&RC, Peshawar is the only Hospital in the KPK region where PET-CT scan facility is available.
