AFRIKAPRO 2026 | RACE 8 | 480km | 5TH EDITION

Race 8 takes the AFRIKAPRO field to Verkeerdevlei for a demanding 480 km challenge. The pigeons were liberated at 07:32 after a delayed release to allow the sun to break through the clouds. A headwind is expected for most of the route, with temperatures climbing to 28°C and the later liberation bringing more heat than initially expected. As the distances continue to grow, Race 8 brings another tough test of endurance and resilience. Join us live and follow the action as the Endurance Series intensifies.
