Play Sparks Wood Cookies

PlaySparks: The Possibilities of Play with Wood Cookies! What can a simple slice of wood inspire? In this episode of PlaySparks, we explore the endless possibilities of wood cookies as natural loose parts in children's play and learning. From sensory exploration and movement to patterns, problem-solving, creativity and imaginative thinking, wood cookies offer opportunities for children to explore, investigate and make discoveries in their own unique ways. We'll look beyond what children can make and explore how learning happens through play, the affordances of natural materials, and the importance of honouring children's right to play under Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. #PlaySparks #WoodCookies #LoosePartsPlay #LearningThroughPlay #RightToPlay #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PlayBasedLearning
