With Jewish-Arabic roots, Israeli superstar Dikla shares her musical journey. A mix of reverence, sadness and yearning for her parents' origins in Egypt and Iraq influence Israeli musician Dikla's style and sound. Singing in Hebrew, Arabic and English, and inspired by megastars like Um Kulthumm and Elissa, Dikla's music fuses together her love of Arabic music with contemporary pop and rock. "I've been carrying their [her parents'] culture...carrying it in my throat, actually, and in my heart. Egypt to me is a country I miss, even through I have never been there." Dikla is a bestselling artist in Israel and singer of the year for two consecutive years.
