Tesla, Lefko & Continental: The Jobs Reshaping New Braunfels

Tesla, Lefko, and Continental: The New Jobs Landing on the I-35 Corridor and What They Mean for New Braunfels Housing New Braunfels is not just a bedroom community between San Antonio and Austin anymore, and the I-35 corridor is the reason. Tesla is building a 47,000 square foot sales and service center on I-35 near the Snake Farm. Lefko USA picked New Braunfels for its first U.S. manufacturing plant on Goodwin Lane, bringing roughly 149 jobs at average wages above $67,000. And Continental's automotive business, now AUMOVIO, announced another nine figure expansion of the advanced driver assistance plant it opened here in 2022, adding square footage and about 100 more positions on top of the 500 plus already there. Two local REALTORS break down what this employment base actually does to housing demand: which neighborhoods sit closest to these employers, what a payroll like this does to the rental market and to entry level price points, why relocating employees change the buyer pool, and the honest limits of the "jobs are coming so buy now" pitch. We will also talk about where we think the growth pressure shows up first. We are Drake and Michelle Carter with The Carter Team at Keller Williams Heritage, your local REALTORS and guides to New Braunfels and the surrounding Texas Hill Country.
