Bhupen Hazarika (8 September 1926 – 5 November 2011), widely known as Sudha Kantha, was one of the greatest cultural icons of India. A legendary singer, songwriter, poet, filmmaker, and thinker from Assam, Bhupen Hazarika used music as a powerful medium to speak about humanity, justice, and universal brotherhood.
