The political war between the BJP and Congress has moved from speeches to social media music. The BJP released a rap-style song titled “Modi Kahin Nahi Jayega”, responding to the controversy surrounding Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Patna event. The song highlights the BJP’s political messaging around Modi’s leadership and public support, while taking aim at the Congress. Senior BJP leaders and ministers also shared the video on social media. What prompted the song? How is political messaging evolving through rap, memes and viral videos? And how has Congress responded amid the continuing dispute over electoral rolls and allegations of “vote chori”?
