This set up on Rob's old Squier Standard Series Telecaster was interesting for a couple of reasons: first because it had the narrowest neck (and closest e-to-e string spacing at the nut) of any Tele I can remember and secondly because the neck had some pronounced 'valleys' directly affecting playability at a desired low(er) action. I took a new, surplus Tusq XL nut (the variant impregnated with Teflon) and re-worked that to make the custom nut and the video shows how long this takes to do. I stuck the two nuts 'front-to-back' to allow me to directly transfer the unusual 32mm 'e-to-e' spacing from the old plastic nut to the new Tusq custom one. In levelling the frets, it turned out that there was a major 'valley' around the 15th fret which was causing high E bend chokes and a TON of fret slap on the lower, wound strings getting progressively worse from D down to E. The video shows the Banana fret levelling method / tool fixing these problems. As you can see from the duration of this video, 'just' a regular Reloved Guitars set up can easily take 3hrs (note that 30 minutes of sanding and polishing was omitted from the filming).
