Washed for the Work - What Baptism Really is | Pastor Rontrell Edwards| Imago Dei Cincy (Live Experi

Many people think baptism is only a public declaration of what God has saved them FROM. But baptism also points to what God has saved them FOR. You weren’t just washed from something. You were washed for something. In “Washed for the Work,” Pastor Rontrell Edwards explores the meaning of water baptism and its connection to consecration, identity, and priestly service. From the washing of Old Testament priests to Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan, discover how baptism declares both who you belong to and the life God is calling you to live. Why was Jesus baptized if He had no sin? Why does Luke mention that He was about thirty when His ministry began? And what does being part of a royal priesthood mean for your everyday life? Whether you’re considering baptism or were baptized years ago, this message will challenge you to draw near to God, offer Him your life, and make Him known. The water was the beginning. There is work on the other side.
