You're Copying Music by Candlelight in 1890s Paris | Dark Academia Classical Piano & Cello

One hour of classical music for piano and cello: fifteen of the gentlest pieces from Bach to Debussy, including The Swan, Après un rêve, Gymnopédie No. 1 and Clair de lune, for reading, studying and falling asleep. Paris, late one night in the 1890s. In a small room above the rooftops, a young woman copies out a piece of music by the light of two candles. Her cello leans against the wall, the full moon hangs over the chimneys, and a thin thread of smoke rises into the dark. In most pieces the cello sings the melody over a soft piano; Clair de lune and the Pathétique are mostly piano alone.
