I'm not making this video as a campaign ad or a political statement — I'm making it as someone who spent years inside those buildings as a teacher and assistant principal, and who now works every day in this community as a Realtor and board member of Family Promise of Greater Wichita. In this video I break down exactly what's on the ballot: Question 1 ($407 million for safety, infrastructure, and HVAC with no tax increase) and Question 2 ($208 million for high school updates and early childhood programs, at roughly $4–6 a month for the average homeowner). I explain how I'm voting and why, why Wichita hasn't passed a bond in 18 years while every surrounding suburban district has, and the bigger number that I think deserves more attention than the bond itself: USD 259 is built for 63,000 students but is currently educating around 45,000.
