In this vlog, we went to Koenji Awa Odori, one of Tokyo’s most famous traditional Japanese festivals, to experience the incredible Awa Odori dance, music, street performances and Japanese festival culture. Awa Odori originally comes from Tokushima, Shikoku, but the Koenji Awa Odori Festival in Tokyo has become one of the biggest Awa Odori events outside Tokushima. We walked through the streets of Koenji and watched dancers, musicians and performers bring the whole neighborhood to life.
