Boss: Eligor - 06:21 Eligor is a tough boss, not only for being by far the longest fight in the game so far but also for killing Shanoa in two hits with anything in Level 1, even on Normal Mode his attacks hurt about as much as you'd think from something of that size. I went for an Acerbatus/Vol Umbra focused strategy here for safety. Acerbatus is doubly convenient as it'll hit both crossbows and legs if you use it close enough to Eligor. Get too close and you'll get hit, though. You don't have to break the crossbows on Eligor, but if you don't going under him and then fighting on his back will be much more difficult, basically impossible if you leave both crossbows intact. In between the legs of Eligor I was backdashing while using Scutum/Melio Scutum. Why? Because if you walk the crossbow will fire just in the right angle to right your back. Not cool. Vol Umbra plays a key role in destroying the hind legs' gems and Eligor itself. I used to use Macia here, but that proved to be way too dangerous for comfort. While on Eligor's back you have to watch out and see what he's about to do. Any direct hit from his attacks will throw you out of his back and you'll be forced to break his leg gems again (once or twice depending where Eligor throws you). ____________________________________________________________________ Some notes and details on this run: Played on Hard difficulty at Max Level 1 cap. Started on fresh new game file (which means no New Game+ items or rewards AT ALL). Magic Tickets WILL be used. No Boss Rush reward or any other unlockable benefits like Queen of Hearts. Any grinding or hunt for items (chest, quest), glyphs I may need will be done off-screen. Dominus Agony will NOT be used.
