스케일은 패턴 자체를 외우기보다 으뜸음(근음)이 어디에 있는지를 기준으로 기억하는 것이 훨씬 실전적입니다. ■ 3NPS (3 Notes Per String) 1번 패턴 : 2번 손가락에 으뜸음 3번 패턴 : 4번 손가락에 으뜸음 6번 패턴 : 1번 손가락에 으뜸음 ■ 다이아토닉 스케일 (5패턴) 1번 패턴 : 2번 손가락에 으뜸음 3번 패턴 : 4번 손가락에 으뜸음 ■ 펜타토닉 스케일 (5패턴) 2번 패턴 : 4번 손가락에 으뜸음 5번 패턴 : 1번 손가락에 으뜸음 이처럼 각 패턴을 으뜸음의 위치로 정리하면, 암기해야 할 내용이 줄어들고 실제 연주나 애드립에서도 훨씬 빠르게 활용할 수 있습니다. 한마디로 ... "패턴 모양보다 으뜸음이 몇 번 손가락에 있는지 먼저 보세요." Memorizing scale patterns by their shapes alone can be overwhelming. A much more practical approach is to organize each pattern by the location of the root note. ■ 3 Notes Per String (3NPS) • Pattern 1 → Root note under the 2nd finger • Pattern 3 → Root note under the 4th finger • Pattern 6 → Root note under the 1st finger ■ Diatonic Scale (5 Patterns) • Pattern 1 → Root note under the 2nd finger • Pattern 3 → Root note under the 4th finger ■ Pentatonic Scale (5 Patterns) • Pattern 2 → Root note under the 4th finger • Pattern 5 → Root note under the 1st finger When you organize scale patterns by the location of the root note, there's far less to memorize, and it becomes much easier to use the scales in real playing situations, improvisation, and soloing.
