I flew to Istanbul without telling my best friend… and she had absolutely no idea I was coming. 🤍 After five years of friendship, I wanted to surprise her in person. We hadn’t seen each other for two years, so this trip meant a lot to me. These three days became much more than a surprise visit — filled with coffee, homemade Persian food, long conversations, old memories, exploring Istanbul, a day in Belgrad Forest, kebab, saffron tea, shopping, and spending time together. I also spent some time exploring Istanbul on my own, including Kadıköy, before heading back to the airport.
