Middlesbrough v Plymouth Argyle 1989-90

After a solid if unspectacular start to the season, Middlesbrough were now having a bit of a wobble. Following defeats on the road to Portsmouth and Watford and a hard fought draw against Wimbledon in the League Cup they needed to get back on track with some goals and points in the bag against Plymouth Argyle. Unfortunately for the Ayresome Park faithful, their team never got going in this game and suffered a tame 0-2 defeat.
