GWR full journey London Paddington to Penzance 16/10/2023

Does the Class 80X AT300 family sound better on diesel power? Or electric power? On 16th October, I finally got a chance to do the longest GWR AT300 journey possible from London Paddington all the way towards Penzance! The Summer only direct services from London Paddington to Newquay and Pembroke Dock have similar journey durations of 5 hours 15 minutes. The longest daytime GWR service is 5 hours 40 minutes from Penzance to London Paddington via Bristol Temple Meads which is over 6 hours. I was onboard 800303 as the 1C76 1004 from Paddington to Penzance which is the only AT300 service not booked to call at Taunton on Mondays to Fridays only! This service was delayed by 15 minutes after Pewsey due to a signal failure between Pewsey and Westbury.
